Wise referral bonus: discounts and US account-specific terms
Wise offers region-specific invite programs, not one universal US cash bonus. The standard program says invited guests may receive a transfer discount or a choice of transfer/card benefit depending on region. Check the invite offer and your live transfer quote; no fixed US reward amount is confirmed here.

What does the guest get?
Wise says invite programs are assigned by region. Do not turn its example voucher amounts into a universal US offer. Start from the terms attached to the link you receive and check that the discount appears in the transfer calculator. This page has no approved referral link.
Why do qualification rules differ?
The free-transfer program page describes a qualifying international transfer threshold; the standard-program page describes region-dependent transfers or card spending that may accumulate. Those are different programs, not interchangeable rules. Your invite page identifies the program that applies.
Does a voucher make the whole transfer free?
Not necessarily. Wise says vouchers remove or reduce Wise transfer fees, but external costs such as taxes can remain. Additional payment/banking fees may apply above the discount. The live quote is more useful than the word "free" on its own.
How do you compare the value?
Use the same currencies, sending amount and payment method in a discounted and ordinary quote. Compare total paid and recipient amount. A fee saving is useful only if you needed the transfer and the route is competitive for that exact scenario. No hypothetical saving is presented as a verified offer.
What holds the money?
Wise's US protection page says it separates customer money from operating funds and holds a mix of cash and liquid assets. Its ordinary money-transfer service and balances without the interest opt-in are not FDIC-insured. Eligible interest opt-in balances can have pass-through protection through a Program Bank under separate conditions.
When does a referral qualify?
The invited person's discount and the referrer's qualification are separate. A guest can get a discount without meeting the referrer's reward threshold. Track qualification in the correct invite program; a card purchase is not universally a qualifying action.
Is it worth it?
Check the actual discounted quote against alternatives and read cancellation terms before paying. A fee voucher is not a cash payout and does not guarantee delivery speed. The referrer's incentive should not determine the guest's transfer decision.

Common questions
Can I claim a fixed US bonus?
No universal amount was verified from these public pages. Check the invite offer assigned to the relevant region and account.
Does exchanging between my balances qualify the referrer?
Both described programs exclude converting between your own currencies. Guest-voucher usage rules are a separate question.
Can a voucher expire?
Wise says the described guest voucher is usable for up to six months from signup. Check the specific offer as well.
Is Wise a bank?
No. Its US protection rules distinguish ordinary balances from eligible opted-in interest balances.
